10K Authorized User Bonus for Amex Gold Card
American Express is targeting select Amex Gold Card holders with a bonus for adding Authorized Users. These offers are sent by mail, email or show up online when you log into your accounts. We also have a couple of links for you where you can check. If eligible, you can earn 10,000 Membership Rewards points just for adding one authorized user and spending $2,000. Offer Details
Add an Additional Card Member and earn 10,000 Membership Rewards® points after the first of the Additional Cards added through this offer spends $2,000 or more in purchases on their Card during their first 6 months of Card Membership.

The annual fee for the Amex Gold Card is now $325 for the Basic Card and $0 for up to 5 Additional Cards. The annual fee for the sixth or more Additional Card is $35 for each Card. This week the Amex Gold Card also had a minor refresh.
Important Terms
- Points will be posted to the Basic Card Member’s account within 8–12 weeks after an Additional Card Member makes required purchases.
- The Additional Card Member’s Social Security Number and Date of Birth are not required to submit this request. However, this information must be provided by you or the Additional Card Member within 60 days after the Card is issued, or the Additional Card will be canceled.
- Maximum of one bonus per account.
- If you or your Additional Card Members have a history of cancelling or downgrading American Express Card accounts within your first year and you or your Additional Card Members cancel or downgrade your new Card account within your first year, we may not credit, we may freeze, or we may take away the Membership Rewards® points from your account. If we determine that you or your Additional Card Members have engaged in abuse, misuse, or gaming in connection with this offer in any way or that you intend to do so, including if you or your Additional Card Members return purchases made to meet the Threshold Amount, we may not credit, we may freeze, or we may take away the Membership Rewards® points from your account. We may also cancel any Card accounts you and your Additional Card Members have with us.

Recent Authorized User bonuses have been for just 5,000 Membership Rewards. Now many people are targeted to earn a 10,000 points bonus when adding an authorized user and spending $2,000.
That’s an additional 5X points for authorized user spend, which is even better if you’re spending in a bonus category like dining, or if you’re working on a signup bonus. I was recently approved for a new Amex Gold Card through these targeted NLL offers, so this is perfect timing.
