You Can No Longer Pay American Express with PayPal

American Express is informing Amex cardholders that they will no longer be able to use PayPal to pay their American Express bill. Here’s the text of the email:

“You will no longer be able to pay your American Express bill through PayPal

We’re reaching out to let you know that starting April 1, 2025, you will no longer be able to use PayPal to pay your American Express bill. You’re receiving this update because you used this payment method in the past and we want to ensure you’re aware of this upcoming change. All other payment options for your Card will remain available.

Although PayPal will no longer be available to pay your American Express bill, this will not affect your ability to use PayPal for online purchases and peer-to-peer payments.
