This Fun Tool Tells You Where You Can Travel Visa-Free with Your Passport

There’s many countries in the world and each one has its own rules regarding visas. Depending on what passport (or passports) you have, the rules of entry could differ for each country you’re looking to visit. And these rules are not static, they keep on changing all the time. So it’s a good idea to look up visa rules if you’re planning any international travel. With an American passport, you likely will not have many issues, but there’s still many countries that require you to apply for a visa.

Luckily there’s a website that will let you know what you might need to travel to a different country with your passport. The website Passport Index has a database of all of the passports in the world. It offers visa information for them, supposedly updated in real time, as well as a global ranking of passports. It also offers suggestions on how you can improve your Global Mobility Score by obtaining an additional passport, if that’s an option. Here’s some information for the US passport for example. It tells you the visa rules of each country, if you’re traveling with an American passport.

The passport of the United Arab Emirates is ranked as the most powerful in the world with a Visa-Free Score of 168. The United States has a Visa-Free score of 165, ranked in the 4th tier of most powerful passports out there, alongside France, Japan, Ireland, Malta etc..
