United TravelBank Funds Showing Wrong Expiration Date

United TravelBank Funds Showing Wrong Expiration Date

Many United Airlines passengers are noticing a frustrating technical glitch where their TravelBank balances are displaying incorrect, early expiration dates. While these funds are typically valid for five years from the date of deposit, a display error is causing many accounts to show expiration dates of one year.

Many people are seeing this issue as they start using their airline credits for the new year. United is reportedly aware of the issue and insists that the correct expiration dates are still tracked in their backend systems. And for those who are still worried, there’s already a datapoint that those one year expiration dates are indeed an error.

I’m guessing the airline will eventually get around to fixing it soon.
