Staples No Fee Visa Cards Promotion
Starting 8/2, and running through 8/8/20, there’s a new Staples Visa Gift Card promotion. You can buy $200 Visa gift cards with no activation fee at all. That fee is normally $6.95. This is a good opportunity for free credit card rewards, especially when combined with one of the Chase Ink cards [5X Ultimate Rewards] or Amex SimplyCash Plus [5% Cashback].
Offer
No purchase fee (a $6.95 value) when you buy a $200 Visa® Gift Card.
Offer Terms
- Valid 8/2/20-8/8/20.

- Limit 5 per customer per day.
- The Visa Gift Card is issued by MetaBank
You can see the offer in the upcoming ad here.
How to Maximize Profits
This is probably the best Visa Gift Card deal we have seen. Limit is 1, but you can usually do multiple transactions. Plus there’s no rebates and waiting for a gift card in the mail. But, you’re limited to $2,000 in gift card purchases every day.
So for every $200 Visa gift card you buy, you can earn 1,000 Chase UR points if you’re using your Chase Ink Plus/Cash card. You could also try a Amex SimplyCash for 5% back.
How To Liquidate Gift Cards
Visa gift cards can be liquidated by buying money orders at Walmart or at various grocery stores and other locations. The PIN is already set as the last 4 digits of the card number. The can also be used for bill pay at Walmart and Kmart. If everything else fails, you can always use them everywhere Visa is accepted and you’re still earning 5X on every purchase.
Guru’s Wrap-Up
This one is probably the best promotion we see at Staples, as it involves Visa gift cards. I would suggest going to your nearest location early on Sunday because stock runs out quickly. And remember, this only applies to $200 Visa gift cards. This time there’s some new wording in the ad as it says the limit is 5 per customer per day. Previously it just stated 1 per customer.
Also remember that Chase Ultimate Rewards points can now be redeemed for 1.5 cent on select purchases, if you have a Chase Sapphire Reserve card.
