Southwest Status Match and Challenge
If you have elite status with a major U.S. airline but find yourself flying Southwest more often, there has never been a better time to switch. Southwest is currently offering a Status Match promotion that gives you 120 days of A-List or A-List Preferred benefits for free. This is a good way to experience Southwest’s revamped seating options, priority boarding, and free checked bags without having to start from zero in their Rapid Rewards program.

Guru’s Wrap-up
Southwest is offering A-List Preferred for 120 days to those who have mid-tier status with other domestic airlines. Plus it’s relatively easy to keep your status for a full 12 months by flying just three round trips (for A-List) or six (for A-List Preferred). That’s a low bar compared to the usual requirements.
