New Southwest Rapid Rewards Plus Card 80K Bonus
Southwest Airlines and Chase are giving Southwest Rapid Rewards® Members an exclusive limited-time fall offer for the Southwest Rapid Rewards® Plus Credit Card, beginning October 21.
If eligible, you can apply for a new Southwest Rapid Rewards® Plus Credit Card from Chase and earn 80,000 Rapid Rewards® bonus points after spending $1,000 within the first 3 months from account opening.
This is available for Rapid Rewards Members who have opted into Southwest emails to take advantage of the travel and everyday spending benefits on the Card plus earn bonus points towards Southwest flights.
It’s also worth noting that customers who apply for the Southwest Rapid Rewards® Plus Credit Card by December 2, 2026, are approved, and meet the requirements for the new Cardmember welcome bonus will have the opportunity to have those points count as 2026 Companion Pass qualifying points towards a Companion Pass valid through December 31, 2027. This applies even if the spending threshold is met in early 2027.
That option is going away next year as Southwest implements the recently announced Rapid Rewards program changes.
