American Airlines has teamed up with SimpliSafe to give out a bonus of 10,000 AAdvantage miles to its members who purchase a home security system from the company. The service comes with no hidden fees and no long-term contracts, as per their website. I’ve never purchased anything from them myself, so I don’t have any additional insight on the quality of their systems. But SimpliSafe claims to be an easy to use system. No drilling. No wiring. No tools. Just plug in your Base Station, place your sensors, and in a few minutes your whole home is protected.
The 10,000 miles bonus has some requirements. In order to get the miles you need to purchase a new SimpliSafe system that includes at least one (1) Base Station, one (1) Keypad and at least three (3) additional sensors through this online campaign. Looks like this package should qualify for the bonus. It costs $259.95. So this is not a ‘get cheap miles’ kind of deal, but mostly useful for those who are in the market for such a service. Please do your own research and see if this security system is right for you before purchasing.

Update: There’s also an Amex Offer that gives you a $75 statement credit when you spend $350 at SimpliSafe. Could be useful for those who might want one of the more expensive packages.
