Signup Bonuses for Chase Sapphire Reserve Cards
The revamped Chase Sapphire Reserve and the new Chase Sapphire Reserve for Business are now live. While both are good bonuses in general, I expected better after all the hype for these two cards and the $795 annual fees. It’s also worth mentioning that the old offer for the Chase Sapphire Reserve is still available with the lower annual fee. Check out the details below.

Chase Sapphire Reserve
- Earn 100,000 bonus points plus a $500 Chase Travel promo credit after you spend $5,000 on purchases in the first 3 months from account opening. The promotional credit is valid for a one-time use only, if you apply the promotional credit to a transaction less than $500, you will forfeit the remaining balance.
- $795 annual fee; $195 for each authorized user.
- APPLY NOW
- REFERRAL LINK TO OLD OFFER

Chase Sapphire Reserve for Business
- Earn 200,000 bonus points after you spend $30,000 on purchases in your first 6 months from account opening.
- $795 annual fee; no fee for employee cards.

Guru’s Wrap-up
For the Chase Sapphire Reserve I expected a bonus of 150,000 points. Instead we are getting 100,000 points and a $500 credit. That’s a good bonus overall but that $500 is a one time Chase Travel promo credit that has can’t be split up for multiple purchases.
Chase Sapphire Reserve for Business is indeed getting a massive bonus for Chase’s standards, but it also comes with a massive spending requirement of $30,000 within the first 6 months.
When you take the bonuses and credits into consideration, both cards are worth it for the first year in my opinion even with the $795 annual fee. But after that, you need to run the numbers and see what actual value you’re getting from that long list of credits that each card offers. Personally I would close them before paying a second annual fee.
Currently you can still apply for the old offer on the Chase Sapphire Reserve card, which also has the lower annual fee. That offer is only available through old referral links that were generated previously. But you would be missing out on the better signup bonus.
