Rakuten Offering Extra Bonus for Select Chase Cards
🔃 Update (May 12, 2025) – Some people are not seeing a bonus at all for Chase cards as of today.
🔃 Update (May 8, 2025) – The bonus is now down to $100 or 10,000 Membership Rewards points for CSP and CIU and $75 for CFU. Hopefully you already applied when the bonus was at $300. I applied on May 6th, and the bonus showed pending a day later.
🔃 Update (May 4, 2025) – The bonus is now up to $300 or 30,000 Membership Rewards points, making it a much better option than applying through referrals.
Rakuten is now offering an extra signup bonus for select Chase credit cards. That means that you can earn up to $300 or 30,000 Membership Rewards points from Rakuten, plus the public signup bonus that is offered on eligible cards.
For now, the cards listed on Rakuten are:
- Chase Sapphire Preferred® Card: $300 extra bonus
- Chase Ink Business Unlimited® Credit Card: $150 extra bonus
- Chase Freedom Unlimited®: $300 extra bonus
You can usually do better by applying through a referral link from a friend or family member, as they should earn at least 10,000 points. But if you hate your friends, or don’t have anyone who can refer you, then this is a good option to make those signup bonuses $50 better.
If you don’t have aRakuten account, you can also get a $40 (or 4,000 Amex points) bonus when you sign up.
