Plastiq Offering No-Fee Credit Card Payments to Some Users
Update: The no fee option is no longer available. Even payments that were scheduled with no fees are being canceled. Looks like it was offered by mistake.
Plastiq normally charges a fee of 2.5% for payments made with a credit card. You can pay a wide variety of merchants, even some that would not normally let you pay with a card. But if you check your accounts today you might see a great promotion, no fees at all.
No emails were sent out about this. Those targeted can see it at the last step in the payment, where no fee will be charged. Obviously a great way to earn extra rewards from your credit card as you pay some of your bills. It could even help you with spending requirements now that is harder than usual to spend large amounts.
