Spirit Airlines paid status upgrade: Higher status from $79
This round of status bingo is a little different in that it is a paid status upgrade rather than a match, and it lasts through December 31, 2026. Base-level members can only upgrade to Silver status, and members with Silver can either reclaim or upgrade to Gold. Given the fee, this match likely only makes sense for those who expect a fair amount of flying with Spirit in 2026.

‘Robbing Them Blind’: Live Nation Employees Joked About Fees
Ticketing employees at Live Nation joked about trying to “gouge” people for parking and V.I.P. upgrades at concerts, calling fans “so stupid” for paying the inflated charges and boasting that they were “robbing them blind baby,” according to internal messages released late Wednesday.

Uber and Motional Launch Robotaxi Service in Las Vegas
Uber and Motional, a leader in autonomous vehicle technology that is majority owned by Hyundai Motor Group, announced that Uber riders in Las Vegas can now be matched with an all-electric Motional IONIQ 5 robotaxi. At launch, the service will be available at designated locations along Las Vegas Boulevard, including rideshare zones at the Resorts World Las Vegas and Encore at the Wynn Las Vegas — plus Westgate Las Vegas Resort & Casino and curbside in Downtown Las Vegas and throughout the Town Square shopping district near the airport — with plans to expand the operating area in the future.

This ‘Hyper Themed’ Hilton DoubleTree just got a face-lift
The Curtis Denver — a DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel doesn’t take itself too seriously — except when it comes to its “Stay Happy” motto and the signature themes on each of its 13 guest floors. This unique property recently got a multimillion-dollar refresh with brand-new themes and a full makeover of every floor, guest room and suite, as well as the meeting and event spaces.

Walt Disney World Resort is sharing additional details and opening dates for new and refreshed attractions, stage shows and limited-time entertainment coming this summer, along with special ticket and hotel offers to help families save and visit in ways that make sense for them.
