Visa Offers Apple Roughly $100 Million to Take Over Credit Card From Mastercard
Apple is expected to select a network for the card before it picks the bank to replace Goldman Sachs. Networks provide the plumbing that transmit information between the banks that issue consumers’ cards and the merchants’ banks. Visa, the largest network, has made an aggressive pitch to win the card, including offering the kind of upfront payment to Apple that’s normally reserved for the biggest card programs.

Citi No Longer Allowing Product Changes Between AAdvantage & ThankYou
Numerous reports are that Citi is not allowing product changes from the American Airlines AAdvantage cards to a ThankYou or to a DoubleCash card. You can product change to another American Airlines card or to the Costco card.

Amex targeting some to earn +5 points on travel & transit for referrals
There’s a new targeted referral offer on the Amex Gold card. Targeted cardholders can refer a new cardholder and the person making the referral will earn both the usual bonus points and an additional 5 points per dollar spent on travel and transit for 3 months on up to $25,000 in purchases.

Capital One Only Awards Referrer Bonus For Bringing First-Time Credit Card Customer
The terms on Capital One referrals it states that the bonus for referrer is only valid if you bring in a completely new Capital One customer who does not have any Capital One cards. If you refer a friend to get their second Capital One card, you will not get a referral bonus.
