Marriott Bonvoy Card Member Offer: 200 Free Points Plus 10,000 More When You Spend $7,000

New Marriott Bonvoy Card Member Offer

New Marriott Bonvoy Card Member Offer

Marriott Bonvoy has launched a limited time promotion called “It’s in the Cards”. The promotion is open to existing eligible U.S. Marriott Bonvoy®  Card Members. Marriott teased this promotion since last month, so I expected it to be something better than what we saw last year

Offer Details

Eligible Card Members must enroll their Card by August 1, 2024, to earn 200 bonus points. Eligible Card Members can also earn 10,000 bonus points after spending $7,000 in eligible purchases on that Card by September 21, 2024.

PROMO PAGE

The promotion is available to eligible U.S. Marriott Bonvoy® Credit Cards including:

  • American Express
    • Marriott Bonvoy Brilliant® American Express® Card
    • Marriott Bonvoy Bevy™ American Express® Card
    • Marriott Bonvoy Business® American Express® Card
  • Chase
    • Marriott Bonvoy Boundless® Credit Card from Chase
    • Marriott Bonvoy Bold ® Credit Card from Chase
    • Marriott Bonvoy Bountiful™ Credit Card from Chase

American Express® Cards issued on or before April 1, 2024, are eligible for this offer. Eligible Marriott Bonvoy® Chase Credit Cards issued on or before June 20, 2024, are eligible for this offer.

Card Members with multiple eligible Marriott Bonvoy Cards may register each individual Card for the opportunity to earn a bonus on each (limit 1 enrolled Card per eligible Card type).

Guru’s Wrap-up

You get 200 points just for registering, so that’s worth doing if you have one of the eligible credit cards. After that, you need to spend $7,000 to earn a bonus of 10,000 points. That’s just an extra 1.4X points per dollar spent, which will not move the needle much for most readers.

The exception might be for those who are already putting considerable spend on these cards, probably to get a signup bonus.
