Lululemon Gift Cards May No Longer Trigger Amex Platinum $75 Credit

Lululemon Gift Cards May No Longer Trigger Amex Platinum $75 Credit

American Express Platinum cardholders may have lost a popular way to use their quarterly Lululemon credit.

According to multiple reports shared on reddit and Doctor of Credit, Lululemon gift cards purchased in stores are no longer triggering the $75 quarterly statement credit on the Amex Platinum Card. This is not affecting everyone though, as there are still reports of gift cards triggering the credit. But judging from these recent datapoints, it’s no longer guaranteed.

The change appears to have started around October 5, 2026. It’s possible that Lululemon has changed how gift card purchases are processed, allowing American Express to identify and exclude them from the credit in some cases.

The Amex Platinum Card offers up to $300 annually in Lululemon statement credits, divided into four $75 quarterly credits. Enrollment is required. Gift cards have always been excluded under the official terms, but buying physical gift cards at Lululemon stores had continued to work and still does for some.
