Using Reward Points
Just4U Reward Points can be used for discounts on groceries or gas. 100 Rewards Points for example can get you a discount of $1 to $1.50 on groceries or 10¢ off per gallon on your next fill-up. Maximum gas reward at participating Chevron or Texaco stations is $0.20 per gallon, and $1 per gallon at stores that have gas stations. Maximum gallons for which it can be used usually varies between 20 and 35 depending on your location.
So if you buy a $50 Amazon gift card, you get 300 Rewards Points or 30¢ off per gallon. With the max of 35 gallons, you would be saving $10.50. That’s a 21% discount. And you get credit card rewards on top of that.
Point totals less than 100 expire at the end of the calendar month in which they were earned. Rewards earned during each month can be used through the end of the following calendar month (for example, Rewards earned in January expire at the end of February) and can be redeemed as Gas Rewards or the Grocery Rewards then offered.
Guru’s Wrap-Up
Pretty good deal if you have one of these supermarkets near you. Amazon Gift Cards are almost as good as cash for most people. You can make this deal even better if you use a credit card that earns most points at supermarkets and grocery stores to get as much as 6% back.
