Instacart and Amazon’s Whole Foods End Partnership

Grocery delivery company Instacart announced yesterday that its partnership with Amazon-owned Whole Foods is ending. The pernership
became complicated when Amazon acquired Whole Foods in 2017 since the online retail giant can deliver its own groceries through Prime Now and AmazonFresh.

Instacart quietly lowered its annual fee to $99 recently, to compete with Amazon Prime’s $119 annual membership.

The partnership will not end abrutply, but it will wind down in the next couple of months. So you have time to adjust if you’ve been getting Whole Foods deliveries through Instacart.
