Tired of carrying cash around, or having to take a credit card out of your wallet to pay for your coffee, or anything else? Worry no more. For only $299, you can have a microchip implanted in your hand and just wave at payment terminals.

British-Polish company, Walletmor, says that last year it became the first company to offer them for sale. “Get your Walletmor payment implant now and make a step into the future” the company says on its website, and “you’ll never forget your wallet ever again”. You can use it wherever contactless payments are available.

Walletmor’s chip, which weighs less than a gram and is little bigger than a grain of rice, is comprised of a tiny microchip and an antenna encased in a biopolymer. This is a naturally sourced material, similar to plastic, confirmed to be biocompatible by the FDA (Food and Drug Administration)

Walletmor says that NFC Communication Standard used for contactless payments prevents the implant from being hacked or copied. It is not possible to spy, track, monitor, or gather any information about the implant’s user, and you don’t need to worry about the magnetic resonance, tomography, MRI, or EKG treatment.

The company told BBC that it has now sold more than 500 of these chips so far. The technology is only currently available in the European Union and the U.K. But, it will soon come to the states.

After you make your $299 purchase, you need to download the Purewrist app, an independent digital wallet, where you store your funds. Enter your activation code and provide Purewrist with your data for verification purposes. Following successful verification, fund the account. You can then arrange the installation with a specialist. It’s supposedly as painful as a pinch.

Once you link your Walletmor payment implant to your Purewrist wallet, it can be used to make payment using the funds in your account. You can use a standard bank transfer or external debit or credit card to top up your Purewrist account. Walletmor payment implants are standard payment wearables. All the transactions process as standard contactless payments which involves a payment scheme, acquirer, and payment processor. It makes Walletmor payment implants acceptable worldwide, by every terminal processing contactless payments.
