Hy-Vee Deal for Mastercard Gift Cards
Hy-Vee is a chain of supermarkets with more than 280 locations in Iowa, Illinois, Kansas, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, South Dakota, Wisconsin, and soon Indiana, Kentucky, Tennessee, and Alabama. If you have a location nearby, you can currently take advantage of a new gift card deal.
In the weekly ad you’ll see an offer for a $10 instant discount when you spend $150 or more in Mastercard gift cards. That discount should cover the activation fee and give you a small profit. On top of that, you can earn rewards by using one of the best cards for grocery spend such as Amex Blue Cash Preferred (up to 6%), Old Blue Cash (up to 5%), or Amex Gold (4x).
This offer runs in-store only, from November 4 through November 10, 2024.
In the past you could buy a $500 gift card, which would trigger the offer three times for a $30 instant discount. That’s no longer possible as far as I know, but if could be worth testing out if you are earning a good rate on this purchase.
