Hilton to Introduce New Diamond Reserve Status Tier
Hilton is working on launching a new top tier status for its Hilton Honors members. It also looks like requirement will change for existing tiers. The information comes from source code on Hilton’s website.
In addition to Silver, Gold, and Diamond tiers, Hilton would add a new top tier called Diamond Reserve. In order to earn to qualify for the new status tier, you would need $18,000 in annual eligible spending, plus either 80 nights or 40 Hilton stays. Currently you can earn Diamond simply by holding the Amex Aspire card.
In terms of benefits, confirmable upgrade rewards and 22x points on spend (10x base + 12x Diamond Reserve) are the only things revealed thus far. But it would likely offer some other valuable perks compared to what you currently get as Diamond Elite.

There’s also mention of a new The Honors Society, which will likely be invite-only.
As for the three current tiers, we could see a reduction in requirements by 30%. That would mean:
- Silver to require 7 nights, 3 stays, or 17,500 points (currently 10 nights, four stays, or 25,000 points)
- Gold to require 28 nights, 14 stays, or 52,500 points (currently 40 nights, 20 stays, or 75,000 points)
- Diamond to require 42 nights, 21 stays, or 84,000 points (currently 60 nights, 30 stays, or 120,000 points)
And if it will be easier to earn elite status, then we could also see these lower tiers become even less valuable.
