🔃 Update (Dec. 27, 2024) – The transaction still shows the same as it used to “RBG HILTON GIFT CARD”. I also received an email that the gift card has shipped, about 3 days after placing my order and received the credit the next day.
Hilton sells gift cards online at buyhiltongiftcards.com. These gift cards are a good way to use Hilton credits from cards such as ($50/quarter), ($60/quarter) and now Amex Business Platinum ($50/quarter) as well.
But now the site has the following message:
“We are currently experiencing an inventory outage, which will result in a delay in fulfilling your order beyond our standard processing and shipping timeframes. If you wish to continue with your purchase, we hope to have inventory available in the coming weeks and will ship your order as soon as possible. Thank you.”
So it’s not clear if purchases made through the end of the year will count for the Q4 credit. If you have other opportunities to use the credit, then I would do that. If you choose to purchase gift cards online, then at worst it will count toward Q1 credit for 2025.
