Some Amex Hilton Aspire Cardholders Are Receiving a $250 Credit

If you have an American Express Aspire credit card, check your account for an unexpected credit. It looks like Amex is giving some cardholders a $250 resort credit without them using it at all. This is probably in response to the coronavirus pandemic, as cardholders are not able to use this card benefit while not being able to travel.
Not everyone is receiving the credit. I checked my account and I don’t have it. But this could be targeted to cardholders whose annual fee might be coming up and they have not used the resort credit yet.

This is a big deal for cardholders that get a $250 credit since the card has a $450 annual fee. Let me know if you received this credit from Amex.
American Express is already extending the spending period for new card bonuses by three months. Chase is also giving some Sapphire Reserve cardholders a $100 credit towards the annual fee.
