The partnership continues to unlock new aspirational travel opportunities with Hilton’s luxury footprint expanding to 93 countries and Hilton’s global presence increasing to 141 countries. Some of the additions include:

  • Le Quartier Français (South Africa): Set against a backdrop of soaring granite mountains and vine-covered hills, Le Quartier Français, an SLH Hotel, is a romantic and sophisticated retreat nestled in the village of Franschhoek outside of Cape Town. Spacious rooms overlook manicured gardens and a pool that reflects the jaw-dropping scenery, while underfloor heating and wood-burning fires ensure maximum comfort. The hotel’s two restaurants each have their own beautifully designed space and flavor-packed menu, with intimate and exclusive wine tasting experiences available on-property.
  • Siringit Villa (Tanzania): With Mount Kilimanjaro and Mount Meru standing guard on the horizon and the endless plains of Tanzania undulating into the distance, a stay in Siringit Villa, an SLH Hotel, is the ultimate safari experience. This exclusive retreat serves as a stepping stone for wild adventures, with six spacious bedrooms and balconies featuring stunning views of the towering mountains and lush gardens. A pool, parasols, alfresco dining and luxury loungers ensure the great outdoors is enjoyed in comfort and style, while candle-lit bathrooms and canopied beds promise evenings of peace and slumber.
  • Hotel Palau Fugit (Spain): A sensitively restored 18th-century palace in Girona’s lively Old Quarter, Hotel Palau Fugit, an SLH Hotel, blends baroque architecture with contemporary art for a luxurious boutique retreat. Each bedroom has its own unique character, with the property featuring a Romanesque courtyard garden and underground spa. As the sun sets, raise a glass to tradition with the ‘hour of vermouth’ – a complimentary aperitif served chilled in the rooftop bar, accompanied by delicious tapas and views of Girona’s earliest stone ramparts.
  • Taru Villas Levita – Kandy (Sri Lanka): Hidden high in Digana’s green-fringed hills close to Kandy, Taru Villas Levita – Kandy, an SLH Hotel, is an intimate retreat where epic interiors compete with other worldly views. Each bedroom showcases a clean, refined style, and meals take place in an outdoor restaurant where a talented chef prepares authentic, personalized local dishes. Guests can explore the Colonial architecture, sacred temples and gracious gardens nearby, or venture to the Central Highlands with tea plantations and lush rainforests that stretch for miles.
  • Linthwaite House (UK): A breathtaking gateway to the Lake District, Linthwaite House, an SLH Hotel, perches on a hilltop overlooking Windermere amid 14 acres of gorgeous grounds. Refined luxury flows across every detail, including carefully curated artworks found throughout the hotel, spacious and elegant rooms and grounds dotted with eclectic sculptures, a boules pitch and a giant chessboard. For moments of calm between adventures, head to the laid-back Bar & Conservatory, and for an evening of imaginative farm-to-table dining, visit Henrock by Simon Rogan MBE where exotic flavors come to life through locally sourced ingredients.
  • The Retreat Costa Rica (Costa Rica): Tucked high above the Costa Rican rainforest, The Retreat Costa Rica, an SLH Hotel, harmonizes luxury and wellness atop a mountain of quartz. Mind, body and spirit are nurtured with equal care across rainforest-clad yoga studios, open-air restaurants, sun decks and lofty rooms with sweeping views and resident peacocks. Through a transformative range of wellness offerings, this hotel epitomizes healing and rejuvenation in the hands of nature.

The Roundtree Amagansett, an SLH Hotel - Hilton

I used one of my free nights a couple of months ago at one of these properties in New York, The Roundtree Amagansett. Cash prices were around $1,000 per night, and go even higher during peak summer months. I’ve been planning to do a review, but I haven’t gotten around to it yet.

You can view the full list of participating SLH properties here.
