Microsoft Sending Out Free $100 Gift Cards

If your email inbox is anything like mine, then you probably get tons of messages claiming to give away free stuff. While most of these email are usually scams or just advertising, that’s not always the case.

Microsoft is actually sending free gift cards to some users in recent days and some lucky customers got as much as $100. Microsoft sent 50,000 Microsoft Store gift cards to U.S. customers earlier this week. 25,000 of those were $10 gift cards and the other half received $100 gift cards. We have seen these free gift cards in the past, but they were usually for $5 or $10.

The free gift cards were sent out be email with subject line, “Here’s $100 to start your holiday shopping.” It’s not clear how the selection process was done, but if you have a Microsoft account or have signed up to receive emails from them, you might want to check your email for a free gift.

These Microsoft gift cards are redeemable on the Microsoft Store until the end of the year, The Verge reports.

Let me know if you have received any of these emails from Microsoft.
