Expanded Admirals Club Lounge Coming to AUS

American Airlines has revealed plans to open a new, expanded Admirals Club® lounge at Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (AUS). The new lounge will span more than 12,000 square feet on the west side of the terminal, doubling its current footprint at AUS.

The Admirals Club at AUS will feature the first outdoor terrace space in American’s lounge network. Guests will enjoy expansive views of downtown Austin and the airfield.

Construction will begin this year, and the current lounge will remain open for customers during construction. The new lounge will feature distinct zones tailored to traveler needs, including areas to relax, dine, work and recharge.

The outdoor terrace will be a standout feature, marking the first time American has introduced open-air lounge space in its network. It’s part of a broader effort to reimagine the Admirals Club® experience with locally inspired touches and enhanced service.

Customers traveling through AUS will also enjoy American’s recently announced partnerships: Lavazza coffee and Champagne Bollinger, the latter of which is available for purchase in Admirals Club® lounges throughout the system.

American currently offers nearly 50 daily flights to 11 destinations at AUS.

Admiral Club Access

For those traveling domestically, Admirals Club lounge access is available through an Admirals Club membership, qualifying oneworld status or the Citi / AAdvantage Executive World Elite Mastercard. Citi / AAdvantage Globe Mastercard cardholders can also use one of their four Admirals Club Globe passes, valid for 24 hours. Customers can also purchase a One-Day Pass, valid for 24 hours, for $79 or 7,900 AAdvantage miles.

AAdvantage Platinum status or higher and non-AAdvantage, oneworld Emerald and Sapphire members on qualifying itineraries can visit the Flagship lounge when traveling internationally in a Flagship cabin. Single Visit Passes are also available for $150 or 15,000 AAdvantage miles.
