Synchrony Bank has released a new version of the eBay Mastercard credit card. It has a $50 bonus until the end of the year and a decent earning structure for eBay purchases.
Signup Bonus
Now through December 30, 2018, earn a $50 eBay gift card when you open an eBay Mastercard account and spend $150 on eBay within 30 days of account opening.
Earning and Redeeming Points
- Earn 5X Points for the rest of the year after you spend $1,000 on eBay in a calendar year.
- Until then, earn 3X Points per $1 spent on eBay.
- Earn 2X Points per $1 spent on gas, restaurant, & groceries.
- Earn 1X Points per $1 spent on all other Mastercard purchases.
For every 1,500 points, receive a $10 statement credit. That means that points are worth 0.67¢ each. i really don;t like these tricky ways of making it look like the card earn more than it actually does. With that value, the 5X category is just 3.35% and only about 2% for the first $1,000 you spend on eBay.
Accrued Reward Points will expire in 24 months if a sufficient amount has not been earned to be issued a statement credit or there are no purchases for 12 consecutive months.
Applying for the Card
Current eBay Extras Mastercard cardholders are not eligible for a new eBay Mastercard.

I think this will be a pass for most people. But I guess those with lots of purchases on eBay could consider it.
