Delta Will Launch Nonstop Service from JFK to Porto Next Year

Delta to Launch Nonstop Service from JFK to Porto

Delta will launch its first-ever daily nonstop service to Porto, Portugal (OPO) from New York-JFK beginning May 21, 2026.

With the addition of Porto, Delta builds on its existing service to Portugal. The airline already connects the U.S. to Lisbon with daily year-round service from New York-JFK and seasonal daily service from Boston.

“Delta’s new nonstop service from JFK to Porto is part of seven new European routes launching next summer, giving customers even more opportunities to experience Europe and enjoy our award-winning service and premium onboard experience,” said Paul Baldoni, Senior Vice President of Network Planning at Delta. “Whether discovering Portugal or traveling to our other new destinations such as Sardinia and Malta, these additions expand choice for our customers and reinforce JFK’s role as a leading global gateway.”

Delta will service this route with its Boeing 767-300, which offers four product experiences: Delta One®, Delta Premium Select, Delta Comfort and Delta Main.

The new route is in addition to new nonstop service from Boston to Madrid and Nice, enhanced flights to Barcelona and Milan, and fresh direct routes from Seattle to Barcelona and Rome. Connectivity to Ireland is also getting a boost, with three additional weekly flights between Detroit and Dublin. Plus Sardinia and Malta, recently selected by SkyMiles Members and Delta employees in the Route Race, will debut from JFK.
