Delta Amex Cards Have New Limited-time Bonus Offers

American Express has recently increased some of the public credit card offers. I already wrote about the Platinum Card® from American Express that has a 75,000 points welcome offer and the Blue Cash Preferred® Card from American Express that has a $300 offer and waived annual fee for the first year. The Amex Gold card also has a 60,000 points offer publicly available through referrals. Now there are also increased welcome bonus offers across four Delta SkyMiles® consumer and business credit cards. These are not the highest ever offers that we have seen on these cards, and have even been occasionally available recently.

The higher your status, the more perks and benefits you’ll be able to enjoy while flying Delta. Silver status provides basic perks such as waived baggage fees, basic priority boarding and a special $109 per year fee for CLEAR membership. But if you move up the ranks and qualify for Diamond, you complimentary CLEAR membership, a dedicated VIP phone line for a Delta reservations specialist and more. You can check out more details here.

Applying for Amex Cards

The welcome offer, intro APRs, and intro plan fees are not available to applicants who have or have had this Card. This usually means having the same card within the last 5-7 years. American Express may also consider the number of American Express Cards you have opened and closed as well as other factors in making a decision on your welcome offer, intro APRs, and intro plan fee eligibility. If you’re not sure if you’ve had that card in the past, here’s how to check.

American Express has a limit of one approved credit card every 5 days and two approved cards every 90 days. You can combine the application with a charge card though.

Guru’s Wrap-up

These are good offers for the four Delta credit cards listed above, but we have seen better in the past. When it comes to American Express cards, the first thing you should check is the offers available through referral links. With referral bonuses up to 30K, or $125 for cashback cards, every welcome offer gets much better. Just stay away from self referrals.
