Citi Premier Card Going Away May 9
We have been hearing rumors about new Citi Strata cards that should be launching later this year. There’s the Citi Strata Elite and the Citi Strata Premier card.
Frequent Miler reports today that the Citi Strata Premier card will replace the current Citi Premier card, which is what we assumed when the names of the cards were first revealed.
Citi Premier will not be available for new applications as of May 9, 2024. Citi Strata Premier will then launch on May 16, 2024.

The Citi Strata Premier card will have a welcome bonus of 75,000 ThankYou points after spending $4,000 in the first 3 months.
The bonus eligibility with be the same as Citi Premier. Bonus ThankYou® Points are not available if you have received a new account bonus for a Citi Premier ® or a Citi Strata Premier ℠ account in the past 48 months.
The earning on the card will be the same as the current Citi Premier card. But it will have an additional 3X category, EV charging. It will also get the same $100 hotel credit, and will have an annual fee of $95.
The new card will also include travel protection such as Trip Delay Protection, Common Carrier Trip Cancellation and Interruption Protection, Lost or Damaged Luggage, and car rental insurance.
