Citi and Chase Will Cover The Higher $120 Global Entry Fee

🔃 Update: Barclays will also give a $120 Global Entry credit to AAdvantage® Aviator® World Elite Silver Mastercard cardholders, starting October 1, 2024. (HT: DoC)

U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) announced earlier this month that starting October 1, 2024, the fee for Global Entry will jump to $120.

As you’re probably aware, Global Entry is a CBP program that allows expedited clearance for pre-approved, low-risk travelers upon arrival in the United States. Members enter the United States by accessing the Global Entry processing technology at selected airports.

Global Entry currently costs $100, but you can get it for free through multiple credit cards. And since the fee will increase to $120 later this year, Citi and Chase say they will still cover the higher fee for certain cardholders.

Members with the following cards will receive up to $120 every four years to cover Global Entry renewal:

  • Barclays AAdvantage Aviator World Elite Silver Mastercard
  • Citi/AAdvantage Executive
  • Chase IHG One Rewards Premier Business Credit Card
  • Chase Aeroplan Card
  • J.P. Morgan Reserve

Select Chase cardholders could also use the credit for NEXUS, another CBP program that eases travel between the U.S. and Canada. The fee for NEXUS is also jumping to $120 on October 1st.
