Citi and American Airlines are launching the AAdvantage MileUp card, a new no-annual-fee credit card. It replaces the current Citi / AAdvantage Bronze card. The AAdvantage MileUp card will be available starting on July 22, 2018.

Citi / AAdvantage Bronze Replaced
Cardmembers who currently have the Citi / AAdvantage Bronze card will also begin earning 2 AAdvantage miles for every $1 spent on eligible American Airlines purchases and at grocery stores, along with 1 mile for every $1 spent on all other purchases made on or after July 22. They will receive the new AAdvantage MileUp℠ card when their current Citi / AAdvantage Bronze card expires.

The new AAdvantage MileUp is an upgrade when compared to the old AAdvanatge Bronze Card. It comes with a small bonus of 10,000 American Airlines miles and a $50 statement credit. That’s a total bonus of $150-$200, which is not bad at all for a no fee card and only $500 in spending. This is not a card that will excite many readers, but if should draw some casual American Airlines customers who are looking for a no fee card and a way to earn miles.
