Chase Sapphire Terrace at Austin Airport to Close in March 2025
In March of 2023, Chase opened the Sapphire Terrace at Austin-Bergstrom International Airport.
The Sapphire Terrace is an indoor-(and mostly) outdoor space in the airport that provides travelers a place to relax, recharge and fuel up before flights with complimentary local beverages.
But the Sapphire Terrace at AUS will only be available for a few more months. Chase has revealed that the terrace will close just about two years after it first opened.
Here’s what a spokesperson for Chase told me by email:
“We’ve loved bringing our Chase Sapphire Terrace experience to life at Austin Bergstrom. As this was always a temporary activation, the space will close in March of 2025. We look forward to our cardmembers continued enjoyment of this space through the coming holiday season before its planned closure.”
The news was first reported by View from the Wing. Once the Sapphire Terrace closes, the area will revert to public use.
While the terrace at AUS is closing, Chase is working on several new lounges, including the one at PHX which opened today.
