Guru’s Wrap-up
Chase Sapphire Preferred is a good product that gets you some extra benefits, but the main attraction right now is the signup bonus. That’s worth at least $1,000 when redeemed for travel or through Pay Yourself Back. This in-branch offer is much better than the current public offer of 60,000 points that also comes with the annual fee of $95 for the first year. But it’s not clear how widely available this offer is. Let me know if you see this offer at your branch. Even if you don’t find this 80K offer, you should still be able to get 60K with the annual fee waived in-branch which was available in two branches I checked nearby.
