The is on of the best remaining options to earn Ultimate Rewards points through a bonus and continuous spending. The card earns 3 points per $1 on the first $150,000 spent in combined purchases on travel, shipping purchases, Internet, cable and phone services, and on advertising purchases made with social media sites and search engines each account anniversary year.

Chase INK Preferred 3x

The 3X earning also worked at some popular websites and apps such as Venmo, Giftcardmall, and Simon Mall online. But since February 26th, it looks like that spend is no longer triggering 3x Ultimate Rewards points per $1. Now you only earn 1x per $1.

Update 5/7/2019: Chase has also eliminated AWS from “internet” category, so you will no longer earn 3X.
