Earning credit card rewards online has been getting harder recently especially when it comes to cards that earn 5x. The latest bad news is about Gyft. Looks like recent purchases made with Chase Ink Cash or Chase Ink Plus cards are no longer earning 5x Ultimate Rewards points.

Miles to Memories wrote about this earlier today. From the data points on their article looks like the change has happened either on 7/30 or 7/31.

Guru’s Wrap-up

This would be yet another blow to those that use Chase Ink cards to rack up Ultimate Rewards points. We still do not know if this is a permanent change or if it’s just a temporary issue. It does not look good though and I haven’t seen any positive data points from the last few days.
