Amex App Now Lets You Check How Busy Centurion Lounges Are

American Express has added a new option in its mobile app that will let you know how busy a Centurion Lounge is. A new capacity indicator is now available in the “Find an Airport Lounge” section in the Membership tab in the app.

Once you select a lounge, the app will tell you how busy it is: Not busy, A little busy, Very busy, or Almost full. Here’s an example of what this indicator looks like for The Centurion Lounge at LGA.

TPG reports that the new feature is already operational at all 15 Centurion Lounges in the U.S. and abroad. American Express could soon expand it to Centurion Studio partner locations as well.

This a nice and useful feature that gives you an idea of how busy a lounge is, before making your way there. It is especially helpful if the lounge requires a long walk or is in a different terminal entirely.

The Centurion Lounge Network

Here is a list of the lounges that are currently available and the ones that will open soon: The Centurion Lounge is the signature lounge program within the broader American Express Global Lounge Collection, which provides The Business Platinum Card® from American Express, The Platinum Card® from American Express, Delta SkyMiles® Reserve American Express Card, and Amex Centurion Members, with access to more than 1,400+ lounges around the world, in 500 plus cities across 140 countries and counting (Terms Apply). Card Members can search and find lounge locations within the Global Lounge Collection through the Find A Lounge page. This tool is available online and in the Amex app. They can also check into select Centurion Lounges through the mobile check-in tool within the American Express App.
