Starting 12/05/2017 online purchases made with the Uber Visa Card using a third party payment method including PayPal, Venmo, Apple Pay, Samsung Pay, and Android Pay will now earn 2% back. Previously these purchases only earned 1%. Utilities, Contracted Services, Government Services and Professional Services are excluded. Also this change seems to not apply to in-store mobile wallet purchases which will continue to earn 1%.
This adds more value to an already great no-fee card, which also comes with a $100 signup bonus. Read my review of the card on this previous post.
