Avelo Adds Four New Destinations, One Way Fares from $39

Update (Jul 29, 2021) – Avelo Airlines is expanding its service from Los Angeles with nonstop flights to four new destinations: Monterey, California; Fort Collins-Loveland, Colorado; and Provo and St. George, Utah.

Avelo is the only scheduled carrier to fly nonstop between LA’s most convenient and popular airport — Hollywood Burbank Airport (BUR) — and Monterey Regional Airport (MRY). One-way fares on this route start at $39.

Avelo will also be the only airline to fly direct between LA and St. George Regional Airport (SGU), Provo Airport (PVU) and the Ft. Collins-Loveland Northern Colorado Regional Airport (FNL). One-way fares on these routes start at $49. Flights can be booked at aveloair.com.

New Budget Airline Just Launched With $19 Fares

Original article (Apr 18, 2021) – Avelo Airlines is the newest budget carrier to take to the skies. For now, routes are very limited, but those who can take advantage of the 11 nonstop routes, will get a sweet deal. Current one-way introductory fares are going for as low as $19, with taxes and fees included.

Avelo Airlines will inaugurate service on April 28 from its base at Hollywood Burbank Airport in California. It will offer nonstop service to smaller airports in 11 West Coast locations, all unserved by Burbank Airport, using 189-seat Boeing 737-800 aircraft accommodating 189 seats.

The low-cost carrier offers customers flexibility in their travel experience with optional fees for priority boarding and pre-reserved window or aisle seating. Guests may choose between a $10 first checked bag or $35 for an overhead stowed carry-on bag. Priority boarding can be purchased for $10, and if you want to reserve a seat, you will have to $5 for window or aisle seats and $18 for seats with more legroom. But there’s no change or cancellation fees, and no extra charge to book by phone.

“After more than 20 years of steadily shrinking consumer choice, the American flying public wants and deserves more options and lower fares,” said Avelo Founder and CEO Andrew Levy, former chief financial officer at United Airlines Holdings Inc and former president, chief financial officer and chief operating officer at Allegiant Travel Company.
