American Express launched a new integration with Walmart.com today. Eligible U.S. Card Members enrolled in the Membership Rewards program can now use Membership Rewards® points to shop favorite products on Walmart.com, both on desktop, mobile web and mobile app (IOS and Android). More importantly, you can earn an increased rate of rewards at Walmart during the month of August.
Amex Walmart Promo
Eligible American Express Card Members can earn two additional Membership Rewards® points per dollar spent (for a total of 3 points) when they use Amex Express Checkout on Walmart.com from July 30 to August 30. We know our Card Members love shopping on Walmart.com and wanted to provide them with more value, choice, and flexibility each time they checkout.
Guru’s Wrap-Up
The Pay with Points part is not interesting since you only get a value of 0.7 cents per point. You can do much better by using the points for travel. But the 3X earning is good deal for all your Walmart shopping. You just need to use a Membership Rewards card. There’s no enrollment required to earn the enhanced rate, just make sure you pay with Amex Express Checkout.
