Amex to Convert Blue Sky to Cash Magnet in January
American Express with transition Blue Sky® cards to the the American Express Cash Magnet® Card on January 21, 2025.
Cardmembers will be officially notified of the migration in their September or October billing statements.
You will not be able to redeem Blue Sky points after the transition, but you will receive a statement credit for the value of any rewards that remain on the Blue Sky Card when it’s converted to Cash Magnet.
In August, Clear cards were converted to Cash Magnet as well. The Cash Magnet card itself was discontinued last year for new applicants.
