Amex Referrals Are Gone Again!
Some Amex cardholders had not been able to generate referral links for a while. This was usually affecting personal Membership Rewards earning credit card such as Amex Green, Gold and Platinum cards.
I had not been able to refer from my Amex Gold card for almost two years for example, while I have been able to refer from my Charles Schwab Platinum card as well as Business Platinum and Business Gold cards.
Then back in mid-April, referrals were finally back on my Amex Gold card. Several members of our Facebook Group reported the same thing. It was not clear what prompted this ban on referrals, or the comeback, but it was great news for those who could not refer for a long time.
Well now the bad news comes in. Some of those who got back the ability to refer just over a month ago, have lost it again. My Amex Gold card no longer has referrals, and a couple of DDG Facebook Group members also report that their ability to refer is gone. In some cases is for most or all of their cards.
