American Express and Avianca Airlines announced that Card Members enrolled in the Membership Rewards® program can soon transfer Membership Rewards® points to Avianca with LifeMiles, the loyalty program of Avianca Airlines, at a 1:1 ratio.
The capability is rolling out in the U.S. later this month.. Avianca Airlines joins 17 other participating Membership Rewards® frequent flyer programs. Avianca Airlines is the newest airline partner for Membership Rewards® since Aer Lingus was announced in August 2018.

I’m sure there will be plenty of people exxited to see this new development. Avianca Lifemiles is a Star Alliance airline and one of the few mileage programs that doesn’t collect fuel surcharges. It’s always good to see these new additions to transfer partners. It makes it easier to get Avianca Lifemiles and gives the American Express Membership Rewards program more value.
