Amex High Yield Savings Account $500 Bonus

🔃 Update: This offer is available again through 2/15/2026 for select customers as reported in our Facebook Group. The account now earns a 3.30% APY.

American Express is offering select cardmembers a bonus of $500 for opening a new Amex High Yield Savings Account. This offer was sent out by email, and you can also find it in the Amex Offers section of your account online. Email subject is “Name, Use this email’s link to unlock your $500 cash bonus.” Let’s see the details of this offer.

Offer Details

Earn a $500 cash bonus after you deposit $25,000 or more into a new American Express High Yield Savings Account. Funds must be deposited within the first 30 days of account opening and maintained for 60 days. The American Express High Yield Savings Account earns a 3.60% APY and has no monthly fees. Here’s the link to the account for more information (but you need to click the unique link in email to get the bonus).

Some people might see a different version of this offer, either with a lower bonus or a higher spending requirement. I think the $500 bonus with $25,000 deposit is the best offer available.

Important Terms

  • New account must be opened by June 13, 2025.
  • Offer available to recipients who don’t have an existing American Express Savings Account.
  • The value of the bonus may be taxable income to you and may be reported on IRS Form 1099. You are responsible for any federal or state taxes resulting from the bonus. Please consult your tax advisor if you have questions about the tax treatment of the bonus.

Guru’s Wrap-up

This is the best ever bonus for a new American Express High Yield Savings Account. In order to earn the $500 bonus, you need to deposit $25,000 within the first 30 days and then maintain that balance for 60 days. So it looks like you need to keep the money in the account for just over 60 days. You will also earn a 3.60% APY which is decent.

Let me know if you are targeted for this offer, or if you see a different version in your emails or Amex accounts.
