Yesterday I wrote about a new increased offer for the Amex Business Platinum credit card. The offer gives you a signup bonus of 100,000 Membership Rewards points, but it is broken up as follows:
- Earn 50,000 Membership Rewards points after you spend $10,000 and
- Earn an extra 50,000 points after you spend an additional $15,000 all on qualifying purchases on the Business Platinum Card within your first 3 months of Card Membership.
So you would need a total spend of $25,000 within three months to get the full bonus of 100,000 Membership Rewards points. That’s not easy for everyone to achieve, unless you have big business expenses coming up.
100K Offer with $10K Spending
Miles to Memories wrote today about an opportunity to earn the same 100,000 bonus, but with only a $10,000 spending requirement. While that’s still not easy to achieve, is much doable than the $25K spending requirement through the public offer. To get the offer, you need to join their Facebook Group and then be ready on Monday when the offer is released. Only the first 30 people will be able to get it and you have to apply through a banker over the phone. Read more details on their post.
You can also give this method a try. It’s hit or miss, probably more miss, but could be worth checking out if you can’t get in on the offer above.
I do not get any comission either way, so I’m just trying to present you with all the options so you can make an informed decision and go for the offer that works best for you. If you can get in on the 100K bonus with $10 spending, then that’s an easy choice over the public offer. However, if you can complete the $25K spending and can apply through a friend’s or family member’s referral, then you should probably go with the $25K spending offer. There’s also a targeted 75K offer with $5K spending that has no lifetime language (HT: DoC).
Which offer are you going for?
