American Express announced on June 26 of this year that it would launch a small business credit card co-branded with Amazon. Amazon currently partners with Chase and Synchrony for its two co-branded consumer cards, Amazon Prime Rewards Visa Signature Card and the Amazon Rewards Visa Signature Card. The new business card will be its first such partnership with American Express.
American Express and Amazon didn’t release any details and since then there’s still no word on what we might expect. But there’s two images of the possible cards that we should see soon. They were first posted on reddit.
They could be a free basic version and an annual fee Prime Business version. Free Amazon Prime would be a great perk. Maybe Membership Rewards earning capabilities for Amazon shopping? The fact that there’s images of the cards, might mean that they should be coming soon. It’s strange that there’s no info at all yet.
Let’s hope that this will be an improvement compared to current cards. The Chase Amazon card is already a good product that offers the following:
- 5% cash back at Amazon and Whole Foods Market
- 2% at restaurants, gas stations and drugstores
- 1% on all other purchases
