Allegiant Adds Free Drinks and Introduces New Allegiant First Seats

Allegiant is upgrading its onboard experience with complimentary drinks for all passengers and a new premium seating product called Allegiant First.

Beginning August 1, 2026, passengers on all Allegiant flights will receive complimentary nonalcoholic beverages, including soda, juice and water. This is a notable change for the ultra-low-cost carrier, where drinks have traditionally been available for purchase.

Allways Rewards Visa cardholders will receive an additional complimentary premium beverage on each flight. Options can include coffee, protein shakes, sports drinks, or an alcoholic beverage with a mixer, with a maximum value of $16. Cardholders must be at least 21 years old with valid identification to select alcohol.

Allegiant is also introducing Allegiant First, a new premium seating class scheduled to begin rolling out on select aircraft in spring 2027. Each equipped aircraft will have eight Allegiant First seats arranged in a two-by-two configuration at the front of the cabin.

The seats will offer a 37-inch pitch, five inches of recline, adjustable headrests, calf rests and additional legroom. Allegiant First passengers will also receive priority check-in and boarding, along with one personal item, one carry-on bag and one checked bag weighing up to 70 pounds.

Allegiant expects the first Allegiant First flights to launch in spring 2027, while seats should go on sale around mid-August 2026. The new product will complement Allegiant Extra, the airline’s existing extra-legroom option. Routes, aircraft assignments and additional onboard features will be announced later this year.
