A tunnel intended to connect Finland and Estonia faces a delay of up to seven years after Finnish policy makers picked a route opposed by the developer. The Helsinki-Uusimaa Regional Council’s assembly voted to route the project under the capital and not Espoo, the adjacent city.
In just two years, Robintrack went from being a college senior’s side project to the top site where Wall Street firms, hedge funds, and institutional investors get data for the popular trading app, Robinhood. The site was built by Casey Primozic, now 23, in 2018, during his final year of study at Valparaiso University in Indiana, Bloomberg reported. Starting in late April, traffic to the site exploded, jumping from about 4,000 to anywhere between 20,000 and 50,000 unique users per day, Primozic told Bloomberg.
An executive at the rail network wrote to employees Monday that it plans to run many of its long-distance routes less frequently, saving the rail network $150 million in costs. Executive Vice President Roger Harris did not quantify the job losses, but said the company “will work quickly to determine what staffing reductions or furloughs will occur.”
