Maximizing Cashback for Q1 2020
Chase Freedom doesn’t have the best categories this quarter. Gas stations is probably your best bet if you are looking to purchase gift cards. You can also switch over your streaming, phone and tv services for three months.
The Discover it card has good categories this quarter that will make it easy to maximize the cashback. Grocery stores is probably a favorite for most people, but CVS and Walgreen could be useful too. You can even get 10% if this is your first year of card membership.
The ABOC Platinum card has similar categories to Chase Freedom. And you can also earn 5x on an Amazon Prime subscription.
Citi Dividend is better with Supermarkets. You could probably max out the whole $6,000 spend for the year there. It also has Fitness Clubs for those with healthy new year’s resolutions.
Then we have the US Bank Cash+ card and Vantage West Visa Card that let you choose two and one category respectively from a list of options. This gives you flexibility to choose a category that works best for you.
Some good categories are included, such grocery stores, gas stations, CVS and more. Also a few option for subscriptions and streaming services. Let me know what cards you have and how you plan on tackling this quarter’s 5% categories.
