Amex Business Platinum Card Benefits
The Amex Business Platinum Card comes with a huge fee, but also has tons of perks that make it worthwhile for many people.
With more than 1,200 airport lounges across 130 countries and counting, the American Express Global Lounge Collection offers travelers more lounge options than any other card on the market. Enjoy the highest levels of luxury at Amerrican Express’ own networks, The Centurion Lounge and The International American Express lounges. You also get access to partners including Delta Sky Club when flying Delta, Priority Pass Select lounge once enrolled, and also Airspace and Escape lounges.
$200 Airline Fee Credit
Select one qualifying airline and then receive up to $200 in statement credits per calendar year when incidental fees, such as checked bags and in-flight refreshments, are charged by the airline to your Business Platinum Card® Account. In the past it has been fairly easy to make use of this benefit, even without flying. You could just buy gift cards for your chosen airline and it would trigger the credit. That hasn’t been working lately.
Fee Credit for Global Entry or TSA Pre√
You can receive one Global Entry ($100) statement credit every 4 years or one TSA Pre✓® ($85) statement credit every 4.5 years for an application fee charged to Business Platinum Card®. If approved for Global Entry or TSA Pre✓®, spend less time waiting at select airports. You can also add free additional Green cardholders to your account and they all qualify for Global Entry or TSA Pre✓® fee refund.
You can see a comparison of the programs here and figure out which one is best suited for you.
35% Bonus on Airfare
The Amex Business Platinum Card lets you transfer points to travel partners, or just use them directly to book travel. If you book your flight with American Express Travel using Membership Rewards® Pay with Points, you will get 35% of those points back. Either book a First or Business class flight, or any class flight with your selected qualifying airline. You can get up to 500,000 points back per calendar year. The good thing about using points this way is that you don’t pay taxes and you still earn miles like a paid fare. This could work great if you have another card such as Blue Business Plus for example. You would earn 2x on all purchases and then redeem them with a 35% rebate.
$200 Dell Statement Credit
Get up to $100 in statement credits between January and June and up to $100 in statement credits between July and December for U.S. purchases with Dell on your Business Platinum Card when enrolled. That’s up to $200 in statement credits annually. And it gets even better with Dell Amex Offers that we see continuously.

Applying for the Card
Welcome offer not available to applicants who have or have had this Card. We may also consider the number of American Express Cards you have opened and closed as well as other factors in making a decision on your welcome offer eligibility. Amex has a tool that will let you know whether you qualify for the bonus during the application process.
If you’re not sure whether you’ve had this card in the past, you can use this trick to find out. Sometimes cards that you’ve had more than 5-7 years ago, will no longer show up in your Amex history.
This Amex Business Platinum 100K offer is a great one. But it also requires a huge amount of spending within three months. You need to spend a total of $25,000 which is not easy to do for most people or small businesses. If you need help with the spending requirement, you can try prepaying your taxes, prepaying utility bills if your provider allows it, or use Plastiq to pay services that don't usually accept credit card payments at all.
With that said, this is as good as it gets for a signup offer and the card also comes with lots of extra perks that are a must for frequent travelers.
You can also make the bonus better if you can get a referral bonus from a friend or family friend. A referral bonus from the Amex Blue Business Plus card for example will earn you an extra 15,000 points. But steer away from self referrals. Amex has been clawing back those bonuses.
