Update 2/218: Links are no longer working so it looks like you won’t be able to add more credit to your GroundLink account if you haven’t already done so. However if you already added credit from your Visa cards, it is still showing in account and it is still stackable. for now.
GroundLink is a car service similar to Uber and Lyft. They are more luxurious and they offer either pick up/drop off service or hourly service. They rates seem more expensive than Uber and Lyft. Their cheapest ride from JFK to La Guardia for example is $73. With UberX it would cost $31.51. As for hourly rates, pick up at JFK has a minimum of 3 hours required and it would cost $208 with their Economy car, after taxes, fees and gratuity.
But GroundLink has better cars and service which probably still doesn’t justify the price and another plus side is that they are present in more countries. That could come in handy for frequent travelers.
Get $20/$30 Stackable Credit With Each Visa Card
Now let’s get to the Visa card discounts. There’s two separate discounts, one for Visa Signature Cards and the other for Visa Infinite cards. All Visa Signature cards will get a $20 credit and all Visa Infinite cards will get a $30 credit. Credit can be stacked together if you have more than one of the eligible Visa cards, as I suspect most of you do. Its working for all personal Visa cards, even authorized user cards as long as those have a different card number.
You also get a 10% discount with Visa Signature cards and a 15% discount with Visa Infinite cards.
Here’s the links.
GroundLink also has a referral program where both the referrer and referee receive a $25 credit. This credit is for first time users only and can also be stacked with the Visa credit. You can use my referral link if you do not have an account, or just use promo code bmulh.
Here’s an example with $25 referral credit and two Visa Signature cards that I tested out for a total discount of $65.
Looks like a great deal if you can bundle together lots of credit and should get you some free rides. I have never used them personally but I might give them a try once I need a ride.
Let me know if you come across any Visa cards that do not work.
